A superb drive in difficult conditions brought success for Nick Yelloly Sunday afternoon as he took victory in what is undeniably the most demanding endurance event of the season, the 24 Hours Nürburgring.
Nick Yelloly enjoyed a solid start to his race season in the second round of Nürburgring Endurance Series earlier this month, where he finished fifth overall alongside ROWE Racing teammate Alexander Sims. This coming weekend, the British racer is back behind the wheel of a BMW M6 GT3 for the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Imola, San Marino and then on to ADAC GT Masters the following weekend for the season-opening Lausitzring event.
BMW Motorsport works driver Nick Yelloly is looking forward to getting both his Nürburgring Endurance Series and ADAC GT Masters Series programmes underway this month with Rowe Racing and Schubert Motorsport respectively.
All good things come in threes – as amply demonstrated by Schubert Motorsport, BMW and the ADAC GT Masters. After taking a one-year break, these firm fan favourites from Oschersleben near Berlin will be back in the Super Sports Car League this season with two entries.
Following the season-opener at Bathurst, Walkenhorst Motorsport will contest the remaining rounds of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season with two M6 GT3s with BMW works drivers Martin Tomczyk and Nick Yelloly.
